Last thing to note is that this is a rented book. I am trying to remove the DRM from an amazon kindle book I purchased but I can’t seem to even with the plugins installed and I’ve read all your FAQs and tried the troubleshooting instructions.

I have even tried numerous online conversion/stripping sites and software including Eupabor and Epubsoft and somewhere along the line I was prompted to enter the s/n for my device which did not work but I think that was before I merged the accounts. deregistered the latest existing Kindle Reader app. In addition, I have followed the online instructions, namely : 1. Yes, I have entered my S/N and additionally I resurrected my device and since it was purchased on a secondary old Amazon account I have gone ahead and contacted Amazon and they helped me out with 'merging' my two accounts using the 'Amazon Prime for Households' so even though the book I am struggling with was purchased on the new/current account which was not used to purchase the Paperwhite I am hoping that now that the two accounts are merged the S/N will work. I am on Windows 10 and I am having difficulties in removing the DRM from Kindle books with Calibre, even though I have the DeDRM and KFX plugins on Calibre.
